Di Bella coffee has made its mark around Brisbane-town, becoming as synonymous as muffins at various cafés and restaurants.
The team behind the bean has created a new Reserve 2016 blend, and we headed over to the Di Bella Coffee Roasting Warehouse Café in Albion to try it out.
Will this new coffee do the job of getting you out of bed in the morning? Let’s find out.

Despite being on a main road, the Di Bella Café has an unassuming frontage, meaning you really need to know it’s there in the first place.
We tried out the new Reserve 2016 blend coffee in a couple of flat whites and threw in a peanut butter hot chocolate for good measure. It was cold, don’t blame us.
The new coffee blend was very nicely balanced with some spicy notes and a rich, almost chocolate-like flavour as well. It worked very nicely in our creamy flat whites.
The peanut butter hot chocolate was like a normal hot chocolate with a spoonful of peanut butter stirred through. This made it pretty decadent and moreish, though the peanut butter did separate a bit at the bottom of the cup.
I loved the little biscuits we received with all our drinks, this is always such a nice touch.

We also tried out some noms while we were here:
The croissant was extremely tasty, and I liked how bacon was used instead of ham. It came out all warm and cheesey which was perfect for a chilly day.
The bacon and egg wrap was a touch dry, but again we liked the melted cheese throughout and the bacon was super tasty.
The cinnamon scroll came with a mountain of icing sugar on it- this was not for the faint-hearted! It was packed full of cinnamon which was fantastic.

The Di Bella Coffee Roasting Warehouse Café was quite busy when we were there on a Saturday afternoon, with numerous coffee fans converging on Di Bella central.
It’s great that Di Bella keeps on creating new coffee blends to ensure our caffeinated lives remain interesting. I’ve no doubt that fans of this coffee company will have a field day with the new Reserve 2016 offering.
