TonKen's Mango Garlic Chilli Sauce is one of those few products that does exactly what it says on the bottle. One spoonful of this is pure liquid mango (yum), a huge dose of garlic (yum), and a warming hint of chilli (yum, yum, yum). It tastes so pure that it basically adds three more ingredients to any salad you're concocting.
TonKen's products bring a taste of Creole cooking from Seychelles to our shores, which makes these items pretty unique. I did also purchase a packet of curry mix which was fantastic, and easy to use by throwing in either a tin of tomatoes or coconut milk.
Other Creole-inspired items include Coriander, Garlic, Lime and Lemon Grass Stirfry Sauce, Roasted Macadamia & Thyme Dukkah, and Green Pawpaw Achar. When I was at the markets, most of these items were being grabbed up quickly by the locals which is a pretty good sign that they're going to be quite tasty.
TonKen can be found at the Eumundi Markets, or for inter-state peeps, you can also order this taste of Seychelles online.
